CHRISTMAS TREE
Preparing for Christmas is a fun time for all
Moments of magic that will gladden and enthrall
Gazing in store windows that glitter and glow
Dreaming of playing in the soft fallen snow
Thoughts turn to choosing and wrapping up presents
By a roaring log fire with a sweet smokey fragrance
Floating from the kitchen are delicous baking smells
And from the churches afar come the ringing of bells
But the most joyous time of all is the moment we see
A sparkling Christmas Tree dressed with garlands so prettily.

Who is incredibly cool and just brill
From his brushes and fingers he creates wondrous art
So full of such feeling that comes straight from his heart
On canvas and screen he shows those moments in time
Engraved in his memory of such horror and crime

I met my good friend Phil when I became a member of many of the Ning websites, the first one I joined was Artrave.com. which was started by my dear friend Ave Hurley  and then I went on to join Phil’s site which, sadly is no longer in use due to Ning changes.  Phil is a great artist; he has a unique style particularly in digital art which has inspired me to write several poems for his work.  Phil and I share many friends in the Art world, especially Ginger Lovellette, he calls us   “the girls that rock” and we love it.

Thanks Phil for your inspiration and for being a loyal and kind friend, I value your friendship very much and long may it last.

Sherri is my new found friend on Redbubble, she is a wonderful caring person with a heart of gold, who inspires us all on RB and is so talented, see her amazing images on the site
I have written some poems for Sherri´s work and she has been so kind to add them to her pages, these are my gift to her and will always remain hers. I recently shared with Sherri a poem I wrote, which was inspired by a lovely painting by my friend Ginger, the words fitted perfectly Sherri´s wonderful image of Earth Angel and Sherri kindly posted it on her page of her Angel. SHERRI
Such a wonderful smile lights up her face
Surrounded by golden hair falling like lace
Sparkling eyes of the softest blue
And a skin that glows in a soft pink hue
There is the kindest heart that beats within
Caring for all whether kith or kin
Who is this dear friend to Bubblers All?
Yes it’s Sherri!

The Gentle hands with fingers so slender

And friendly smile on a face so tender

Warm brown eyes showing friendship so dear

Pencil and Paper always ready and near

Inspiration comes quickly to this artist so fine

As his pencil flies swiftly barely missing a line

With effortless ease a portrait is created

Of faces so famous,   much destined and fated

A poem I wrote for my good friend Murphy

There is a roar and a crash

A blinding blue light

My seat rocks and rolls

As I fight the controls

To steer this brave ship

I must change my course

And seek a safe place

From dangers in space

At warp factor seven

My craft shoots like a star

To the haven for star ships

Murphy’s blue island afar
A poem I wrote inspired by a wonderful painting b y Murphy

Without a sound the soldier slowly knelt and bowed his head

Shoulders bravely bearing such burdens for what lay ahead

He cleared his mind of all the horrors of which he did dread

And gently clasping his weapon he softly whispered his quiet prayer

“Lord please care for my family in my home so far away

And take into your arms those who will die here this day

Let me stand steadfast and strong, true to my comrades in arms

Give us strength to fight enemies who want freedom taken away

Dear Lord grant me the grace to live and fight just another day”

Standing tall and steady and with steel in his eyes

He gripped his weapon and raised it to the skies

And with a clenched fist he shouted the soldier’s battle cry

Who is this lovely friend who like me is one of the girls?

Who is this online Bubbler so talented in art?

Who is it across the ocean from who I don’t feel apart?

Who is it that emails me messages so full of words so kind?

Who is this kindred spirit who is a gem of a find?

Why it is my dear new friend Bonnie

I WALK IN YOUR SHADOW
Wherever you go I will always follow
I feel safe and secure when I walk in your shadow
I feel no fear with you as my guide
leading me through life´s path, so wide
Whatever terrors and problems that lie ahead
Your strength will always take away the dread
And I will walk the path knowing you are there
And feel happy and safe and without a care
Wherever you go I will always follow
Walking behind you in your guiding shadow
