Ginger is a wonderful bubbly person who I am honored to call my friend, from the moment we met on Phil Cashdollar´s site AAW we immediately clicked, we like the same things and at times are almost tuned into each others thoughts.
We collaborate in our art and poetry, each writing for the others paintings and now we write joint poems and its amazing how we can compose lines to follow each other´s writings, to me the poems look like they have been composed by the same Poet. Well I like to think we are good Poets
Our aim to to produce a book of our work and perhaps one day get it published, we will do it for sure, as it is our dream and its one that we are determined to make happen.
Ginger lives with her partner Richard way across the big pond in “good old Kentucky” in the US. A place I picture as rolling green fields as far as the eye can see, with beautiful homes surrounded by white picket fencing and tall trees with branches covered rich green leaves and lots of horses running free.
I have just had a lovely email from Ginger and this is a copy of the last paragraph……….I am so lucky to have a friend who writes such lovely things about me..Thanks Ginger! I appreciate your lovely compliment. hugs !!
“Jacquei, I just wanted to tell you how very proud of you that I am. Since we met, you’ve come such a long way with your art. I’m so impressed! Your talent has expanded and is expanding more and actually you provide ME with an inspiration to do better work. If your latest still life that was your first watercolor pencil project is any indication, you are going to be a GREAT artist. Just think! When you put all your talents together, what a wonderful gift you have: poetry, photography, painting, drawing, sketching, watercoloring PLUS being a wonderful grandmother!!! I’m not including “wife” since I haven’t heard Jeff say. LOL”

Over the seas in the far off fields of Kentucky
I have a dear friend who to have I am so lucky.
Her paintings are beautiful and of such wondrous art
Of scenes so amazing created straight from the heart
Through the brush strokes I can feel that moment in time
When the soft colours were flowing on the canvas to prime
Wonderful Scenes of mountains, trees, lakes and anything in sight
With such inspiration I can hardly resist poems to write
With the poetry in my thoughts I lift my pen and the words are set
Creating tributes to the works of my friend Ginger Lovellette
